Alice Robbins, violone, is a member of Arcadia Viols and the Oberlin Consort of Viols, and plays principal cello as well as viol with Arcadia Players, of which she is a founding member. She performs with the Folger Consort, Opera Lafayette and many other ensembles dedicated to historical performance. Ms. Robbins is a graduate of Indiana University and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel), where she was a student of Hannelore Mueller. She has recorded for Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, EMI-Reflexe, Centaur, Telefunken and Naxos. Alice teaches in the Five College Early Music program at Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges.
