Lauded by The Washington Post as “a fine young soprano with a lovely voice," and by The San Francisco Chronicle as "a wonder to hear,” SOPRANO MICHELE KENNEDY is a versatile specialist in classical and contemporary music. Michele has appeared in concert recently at the Bard Summer Festival, Boston Early Music Festival, Carnegie Hall, Davies Symphony Hall, Getty Museum, Library of Congress, Lincoln Center, and Washington National Cathedral.

Among Michele’s new music projects are Karchin’s Jane Eyre with Center for Contemporary Opera, Brother, Brother with Experiments in Opera, Undine Smith Moore’s Scenes from the Life of a Martyr at UC Berkeley, A Long Way From Home recital program with Mimesis Ensemble (recording soon to be released on Arabesque Records), and Julia Wolfe’s Fire In My Mouth premiere with The Crossing and The New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center. Michele recently debuted at Carnegie Hall as a featured soloist with Joe Hisaishi and The Hollywood Film Music Orchestra in selections from Studio Ghibli films. Michele’s upcoming engagements include her debut with Pocket Opera (Das Liebesverbot), Handel’s Dixit Dominus & Bach’s Magnificat with The SFS Chorus, and a tour of Julia Wolfe’s Her Story with Lorelei Ensemble, performed with the Boston, Chicago, Nashville, National, and SF Symphony Orchestras. www.michele-kennedy.com.
